Aulacophora foveicollis
Hello how are you all i hope you are well wherever you are and enjoy your life to the fullest Today I am going to share with you a photo of an insect that I took from the crops near my house. When it was discovered that its name is Aulacophora foveicollis. The family name is Chrysomelidae. There may be five species during the summer season. Its color varies from light yellow to bright red to medium brown. It is 5 to 8 mm long and about 3.5 mm wide. The carpet is black with soft white hairs. It is a worm of cactus crop in northwestern India. And the host eats some parts of the plant. They are most devastating in March and April when the plants are small. They eat leaves, buds and flowers and damage plants.
They penetrate the roots and damage the leaves and fruits lying on the ground. They prefer pumpkin crop over other crops.
I hope you like it.
