My Mom and Dad was separated since I was in my moms womb then she got married with my Stepfather before I was born.

They lived together happily in the province. My step father took care of me and treated me as his own child. Then as soon as I turned 4, they planned to have another baby. Then decided to have another baby again when my sister turned 4. Everything went well.

We had this awesome family. My mom and step dad always celebrate our birthdays with cakes and balloons. Till one day everything turned into hell for all of us. Someone ruined it and took our moms attention away from us. I was studying in University that time taking Preparatory Dentistry in Manila.

My step father and my mom was always fighting, not just yelling to each other but even physically fighting for what I heard from my cousin. To stop the fighting and arguing all the time, my step father decided to just leave our house and stay somewhere far from us. He never liked it but he was forced to do it just to avoid troubles. I was scared that time, not for my self but for my 2 sisters and the thought of me being away from them was really hard. I'm the eldest so I was thinking about their situation that time. I decided to just stop going to University and just go home and take care of them.

Yes, I witnessed everything about how my mom was acting that time. She wasn't the woman I knew. She's so selfish now, drinking all the time and always out to somewhere. There are times that she just leave us to the house without anything to eat. I looked at my sisters and cried. :'( They were too young to experienced that kind of life.

One night, she stayed home and I left to my friends house. It was late when I came home. She opened the door and yelled at me asking why did I come home late. I never said anything back till she grabbed me from my shoulder then that time I yelled back saying "it's all you fault!" then she slapped me and walked to my room crying.

Same routine everyday till one day, I decided to leave the house and stay in my Aunt's house in the city. I studied music because that was I really wanted ever since. After that someone offered me a job, to sing with a band and yes, I grabbed it. I like singing and it was all for my sisters so even it was hard for me to stay awake late and sing with the band, I continued it . I was working every night and send money to my sister for her school and needs. My mom was always calling me for it. I felt hurt because I was thinking that the only reason she was always calling me for, was for the money but I never gave up, I pushed more and decided to go abroad and work there as musician. I stayed there for 6 year in total.

I always sent money for my sister to finish her nursing course and yes she did it. She graduated and march! And now, she is a licensed nurse. I only saved a little money for my self that time and never had enough to buy anything for me, what I did was all for them. Because I love them and care for them.

I wasn't aware about my future that time but I'm still happy because I never gave up for them and I'm proud to tell everyone that I was once "The Bread Winner". :)
