SLEEPING BEAUTY.
Slumber hours have a very vital role they play in our overall health and well-being. Steemit is one platform that does not allow one have enough sleep hours. After joining steemit,I discovered that is no longer a luxury I can afford as most of the whales make their post at a time which is equivalent to midnight in my country and to get their attention via quality comments made immediately they make a post, late night watch has to begin. Do you know this has an adverse effect on your overall health?

It is very essential to sleep when it is time. 8-9hours of sleep has been recommended as the correct amount of sleep needed for optimum performance during the day. A good night sleep have you looking your best and more attractive. A couple of bad nights have you looking not so good with dark patches around the eyes and puffy lids.
Adequate sleep is a key part of a healthy lifestyle. It has your skin and hair looking younger. A good sleep helps prevent wrinkles and inflammation. The skin repairs itself when you sleep. New skin cells are made and old cells are replaced.
Infact, recent studies have shown that being short on sleep can actually boost hormones in your body that makes you feel extra hungry leading to excess snacking and calorie consumption. Sleep deprivation can lead to depression. For a person not prone to depression, it can make you weak and leave you feeling cranky and sad and even stressed out.

Interesting and informative post..
Yes you are right especially those prone to high blood pressure.
If I go to bed at 2am and wake up at 5am, and take a nap from 12pm-1pm, and 6pm-7pm. How do you think I'll fare? It's going to be difficult at first definitely. But with practice it is certain that the body will become adapted.

Physicians greatly underestimate our body's ability to adapt it's why we have prescriptions like 8-9hrs.
Above is a list of some great minds who slept less. Most of them grew old
If you ask me the relationship between sleep and physical or mental activity vary depending on beliefs and some genetic conditions.
More wake time, more work done. It may feel terrible for some time, but the body will definitely adapt.
I'll love to explore and learn more about this thesis of yours. Does the body actually adjust when we sleep less? Nice contribution. I'll sure read it up.
Alright. Most people are not strong enough to push through
