Wednesday Walk in the Botanical garden
Our spring is in a rainy mood in recent days, so I walk as less as possible. It got colder again, and sky all day is dark and gloomy, so I feel like evening comes just after the dawn.
And that's why for #wednesdaywalk challenge started and kindly hosted by @tattoodjay, a person who really like to walk with a camera, I share my photographs captured a bit earlier.
It was my first this year visit of our National Botanical garden. It is located on the hill and its slopes, and is divided into districts that represent different regions of Ukraine and sometimes other countries.
It was a usual working day, yet business hours. But also a start of Magnolia's blooming. This is a time of "pilgrimage" of nature lovers, excursions, photo sessions for amateurs and professionals.
There are plenty of different species of Magnolia trees. The pink one is right before the start.
But there are exceptions. Its petals are like fingers.
These flowers are my favorite from this walk. They are like daisies or delicate stars.
This species has bigger petals, they are not so many.
The flower towards the sunlight looks so light and soft...
Another light pink, almost white. Its buds are more tight, and also are just before blooming.
Of course, they have not only Magnolias. I am not sure what is it, probably a kind or a cherry. And this tree all buzzed! I think I never saw so many bees ))
As I said, there were many kinds of activity. This group was here to plant more small Magnolias, but some interesting info first.
It is wonderful to see adults with kids (and dogs, although not much helpful).
But majority of visitors are here for photographs. Same as me, by the way :)
More yellow flowers for @kalemandra and her #colorchallenge #wednesdayyellow. Taken on the same day at the same location.

I love magnolias. It's my favorite flowers. They are so big! The only disadvantage is that they bloom just for a week or so, so if you're busy you miss the season. This is what happened to me this year. When I came to photograph them they were already old and not that nice at all.. what a pity! Now I have to wait until the next year, lol :D
Thank you for sharing your lovely photos. I love botanical gardens. There are so many things to see and learn!
Have a lovely day!
Thank you so much for your nice comment, @delishtreats! Their Magnolia garden is made so that trees start blooming one after another. This lasts for 2 weeks at least, I think it was 3 weeks this year, and I was lucky to get there twice.
Hopefully to share second portion of shots next week, they are fantastic!
Thank you for sharing such magnificent floral images on your Wednesday Walk @zirochka I enjoyed this post very much. (U & R )

These are such beautiful shots so colorful and vibrant, I hope the weather improves for you soon this week were having similar weather and it looks like raining on and off for te most part till early next week, looking forward to some nice sunny spring days so I an get out and get more photos
We will be having same weather for at least one more week. But I don't mind. As I know, nature has a lack of water, so rain is very good for rivers and ground waters... Abd I have an umbrella 😊
Thank you so much for your kind comments, I am so glad you like my photos
YEs rain is good for nature although we have had so much in some areas there is light flooding, I seldom use an umbrella, but I do have a cover for my camera bag to keep it fry in the rain LOL
My camera body and lenses are also waterproof, and I also have a husband who can hold an umbrella ))))
Mine are rated waterproof as well, but I don’t totally trust that in the rain I only like to use water-sealed cameras, which I don’t always carry with m, so I protect my main camera in my bag mostly when it is raining
If walking in the rain with my Wife I normally hold the umbrella for my wife so not a chance to take photos and it would be ungentlemanly of me to ask her to hold an umbrella over me and my camera so I could take shots
You are true gentleman and a perfect husband
