I wrote this song in late 2010, during a brief layover in Vancouver, BC, en route to San Francisco from India.

I was feelin' pretty tender upon returning from my year abroad and more than a bit sheepish about an email I'd sent – you know the kind...the ones you deeply regret within moments of hitting 'send'.

The message was honest and vulnerable – transparent about feelings I had for someone who didn't feel the same. Though I doubted my words would be well-received, I had to confess – to release the truth of my emotions so they'd no longer weigh me down. I knew he'd never respond.

This little song was my way of soothing the embarrassment of having been right.
