China iPhone Smuggling's Using Drones
This is a funny news which is the first of it's kind "Drone Smuggling".
In China a group 26 smugglers was caught by the customs authorities using unregistered drones to smuggle refurbished iPhones from Hong Kong to Shenzhen which was worth total value of 500 million yuan ($79.8 million).
According to reuters:
All this was done during midnight where these smugglers could transport up to 15,000 iPhones each night.
China already being the biggest manufacturer of consumers drones had already implemented strict rules last year that requires owners to register their drones to the authorities. This to tackle any drone incidents that might lead to disrupting into flight paths.
As a result the Shenzhen customs will now closely monitor new types of tech-smuggling and may even used their own drones to combat smuggling activity.
