Two years ago, astronomers discovered suspicious diminishments of clarity at KIC star 8462852 that can not yet be satisfactorily explained.
Thus Kepler is no longer focuset to this direction, it is monitored with other devices and mainly thanks to successful Kickstarter campign of 100 thousand $. On the night of May 19th was noted by a 35 cm large telescope at the Fairborn Observatory in Arizona, that the brightness of the star began to drop again. This is the first recorded decline since the end of the Kepler mission in May 2013.
Possible explanations have appeared and continue to grow - from the behavior of the magnetic field of the star, through the comet swarm and the media, of course, the most grave in the form of the existence of alien artifacts. However, it is advisable to say that aliens have never had a word in any study. It is the extreme variant.
