Visa Will Build New Payment Rail Leveraging Blockchain Technology
In another sign of the times, Visa, the international credit card and banking institution, is actively seeking Blockchain experts to add to their tech engineering teams. This should come as no surprise, especially considering the explosion of interest in Blockchain technology among banking firms over the past year.
A recent job posting from Visa stated that the enterprise level corporation is actively seeking an experienced Blockchain engineer to “work with technology teams to understand the business demand and ensure design and build of solutions creates or leverages cross-asset concepts and frameworks.”

this is a good start, I think its an important step in the adoption of cryptos...hopefully this will lead to more advancements.
Wow, i should study more the blockchain technologies. It will be taught in schools after long years. There will be a large demand on blockchain engineers for sure.
Interesting. But not really surprised that a company like VISA seems they want to create their own blockchain instead of joining Ripple for example.

I really would love for a Ripple to succeed but it feels like they won't.
More companies will go solo simply because the big banks who lined up early behind Ripple will want to dominate and big names such as Visa will not accept left overs so expect more solo runs in the Blockchain arena
Here is another thread that compliments yours. This is a big move from Visa to leverage and possibly start accepting virtual currencies. I wonder how long that will last, since this tech has the ability to erase most intermediaries including giants like Visa.
