Bill Gates Triggers The Left With "Hate-Facts"
Bill Gates went from evil capitalist to darling of the left with his work on poverty through his foundation.
It quickly turned heel to the elites when he posted a chart that shows how poverty rates fell dramatically over the last 200 years. This does not sit well with those who espouse the virtues of socialism.
The left responded with the typical "Gates is wrong" and promoted the idea that we cannot accurately measure poverty rates. This is absurd since we all know life was far poorer 200 years ago. Industrial agriculture was still decades away which meant people were starving.
This is overlooked in the argument.

It is informative to note that like ladders, technological innovations present new heights with each rung that is ascended. Prior to the industrial revolution, the world lived in agrarian poverty. Free markets slowly improved circumstances as technology increased productivity, until centralized industry fed by massive pools of capital transcended the agrarian rung of the societal ladder.
Today we see a new rung and are reaching for it: decentralization. Means of production no longer require pools of capital to fund centralized factories to produce goods. We are becoming able to manufacture most any good with 3D printers owned by individuals. As the industrial revolution concentrated capital, the decentralization revolution will decentralize wealth.
There is, and will be, determined resistance to the transcendence, just as there was resistance to the industrial revolution, by those capital presently inures to. While capitalism was necessary to step up beyond agrarian society, decentralization is necessary today, and will leave capitalism just as obsolete as slash and burn agriculture.
