Matthew 6:5-15
KJV:And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

What comes to our mind when the word "Relationship" is mentioned?
Of a truth many are a victim of misinterpreting and abusing this word. We tend to overlook the main purpose and the true meaning of this word.

We have different meaning to the word "Relationship"
But in all, it still has to do with the way in which one behaves towards another involved.
It has to do with the way one behaves or relate with God, family, friends and partner.

Jesus teaching on prayer reveals that the prayer that is acceptable to God is one based on a thriving relationship with Him. The first matter therefore in that model prayer is "Our Father".
You must settle who your father is, before you kneel to pray.
This is a bond of relationship, knowing each other and knowing how to address and relate with the one you know

Who is your father?

And you know there were some who were claiming Abraham to be their father who Jesus told who their true father is (John 8:33-44)
He identified the devil as their father. So, how can those kinds of people be jumping up to be prayer warriors? A servant of sin has only one prayer to pray- the sinner's prayer.

Not everyone that says the Lord's prayer is of the Lord. So the first matter to settle in becoming like God in holiness is that of genealogy.
You must have a relationship with Him so as to settle the fact that you are His own.

Are you a child of God?
Do you have a relationship with God?
Who are you to God? Just His creature or His child?
You must be born again.
You must be born of God.
Settle that RELATIONSHIP FIRST
