#Monochrome Mondays!
There are so many better photographers on STEEM than I but that can't stop me! I like taking shots and playing with the big boys and girls who really know their stuff.
There is something about industrial manufacturing and machining that I find lends it self to black and white photography. When you couple that with #monochromemonday championed by my buddy @old-guy-photos, I have to get in on this.
One of my biggest and longest running clients is a precision machining facility in town. They trust me and my team to support their technology and users. This week, I was finishing up a security camera installation and I had to take some shots. "Espionage" I say to the workers who look at me strange when I take pics of their work place and things they may find mundane.
This was the first order of business. Ladders up the wall to aim the cameras where they needed to go with the help of a remote technician. I like how the perspective screws with the lines which seem to lean converge in the middle but lean out on the outsides. My trusty ladder.
Not very monomad but a little context for the story so you get the idea what my technician was seeing. ;)
This is a not quite finished component called a pistol joint or something. and you can see the precision and appreciate the different steps that go into constructing something so specific.
I have no idea what these are but there were so many stacked together, they made for a great shot.
This is a bin of parts that kinda reminds me of capitalism. All of us thrown together and convinced we are unique but we all have the same role to play as a consumer fueling the money machine.
A landscape of steel.
This one is neat for the shine, shadows and perspective. I think this is what is left of a process which saw the useful shapes cut out and leaving behind a neat design appreciated only by me, and you by proxy on the blockchain.
I really do enjoy following my friend through his pictures, vlogs and stories. I suggest you follow him and take some pics to participate in #monochromemonday!
Photographs of the parts are quite interesting and nice, not sure is it that the materials are all metal-ish so monochrome just make them feel more natural? Lol.
Yes they are definitely all metal. Components of other industrial machines for the most part. Seems a factory is among the most unnatural places I can be though. ;)

Exactly anything with shine and shadow! At first I thought that was a stainless steel dish scrubber. I shot one of those before lol.
Haha yah!
There is a bin with curly metal shavings I always think is a giant scrubber. Turns out they are all really sharp!
