I love the idea, but to me, it just seems like a wrapper on steemit that actually restricts possibilities.
If they forked off a Zappl block chain that required witnesses and the works, it would be extremely beneficial to the communities and offer up opportunities for some new folks to dabble.

How is zappl different from a steemit post other than the size limitation?
It draws from the same rewards pool and all zaps are visible on steemit.
Zap is the new version of tweeter

You are correct what is the difference than a steemit post.
Will hold off from using it till they find a way not to post on steemit as well, if they are planning on that, that is.
This is something other apps have to handle using app filtering. We have app filtering set up on our site just fine so it's not a hard thing to do.
