A Little Trouble | Poem

A sly chip on a corner flies upward, lowly high.
Of pure faded pictures on the front, crumble down with sigh.
But, lo, along the foreseen view, the logs of trees do lie.
Expected as a grand, brown river might shortly flow by.

You saw this flashing chip of trash pass by you and never think to pick
A little scrap—that’s all in there—why do you want to kick?
Along, you just have stared that little trash flow with the wind
And maybe you know of where it leads—that tiny little chip.

Accompanied with the wind it associates by
That’s leading to a river that you never might stop now
This little scrap now approaches this river’s ending point
Where all his dear, great trash families keep waiting for a hole.

Oh, what have you done, my good friend, why did let “lazy” reign?
You already have seen him pass this pathway twice again.
He’s indeed a miniscule but can cause great trouble
Stop Mother Earth’s cry. Will you hear her wounded heart say, “Bye?”

This was a poem that I made during my high school days upon seeing some trash unattended and ignored on the street in front of our house. I hope people will place their trash properly in respective trash bins or bag and not simply leave them anywhere.

Wow I can’t believe you were able to write something as nice as that poem when you were just in high school! I wouldn’t be anywhere close to making something as beautiful :). I loved the inspiration story for it too.

I'm glad you liked it, @snrm. I hope the writing and the lessons about it will be better too. Thank you!

A very nice concept of addressing some touching issues.
"Oh, what have you done, my good friend, why did let “lazy” reign? This quote right there, I love it. Keep it up. It may interest me to keep checking your post time to time because I love poem

I was actually very hesistant with that line before and until now when I saw it again, but I think a poem can be free sometimes. Thank you for your input, @owoeye!
