Zappl Bitshares Crowdfund
Zappl now has an asset on Bitshares and will be issuing shares of Zappl.io which will help with the development. Once a stable revenue Stream has occurred we will start buying back the shares. It will likely be between 3-4 months depending on how well the launch go's with user activity.
Summary:
The idea is to create a censor resistant decentralized micro-blogging application that sits on top of the Steem Blockchain. This will allow people to quickly give updates to their life and get some value back in doing so. With the Attention Economy fresh upon us, and we are all striving to achieve a new way to bring to the masses ,but we also wanted to usher in the Activity Economy. One is not exclusive to the other ,but can handshake with each other.

How do we plan on buying back the shares?
Well the issued asset has a market fee of 0.5% and on launch of Zappl.io we will be taking a cut from users post between 15-25% until it becomes more active. Once it becomes more active the percent share of each post will then go down. We're hoping to do our first buy back one month after the launch of Zappl.io, assuming the earnings are enough.
Those who already donated to us please leave a comment with your bitshares address and we will send you ZAPPL In the amount of SBD you contributed already. Also those who donated STEEM it was converted into SBD so the amount from the convert is what you will get in ZAPPL.
On launch of the asset it is:
1 ZAPPL for 1 bitusd
1 ZAPPL for 1 SBD

I think a Steem-powered twitter is a much needed social aspect steemit and busy are missing, so happy to contribute. I bought 200 for 200 bitUSD. Do you intend to buy back ZAPPL at a premium to reward contributors? Or just 1:1?
We plan to buy them back at what the market price is set to. We turned on free market so if the market makes them $10 then we will need to buy them back at that price, but yes for the most part it will be 1:1 or above on buy back depends on the market really. Also thanks for such a big contribution. i do recommend joining our discord if you have one we have a room for those who own zappl.

Do you buy back only when you want to? Or do we have the option to sell based on the current market price?
Well its a free market you guys can trade freely until we start buy back. Also its not only when we want to its at as set time and when profits of the site are generated we buy back with that amount. Since we issued 49% of ZAPPL shares as an asset 49% of the sites earnings after site costs will be used on buy backs.
But you guys can trade them or do as you want with them after you purchase them, but we will be buying back over 1:1 since the free market makes the price so if you guys make them 2 dollars then we got to buy them back at that price. Also each buy back makes each coin theoretically worth more since less ZAPPL will be on the market and ZAPPL is also burned in fee's from market trades.
I def look forward to seeing Zappl break Twitter in half- dirty, censoring, enemies of humanity!

I created an open ledger account over a year ago and never used it. Now I have. I Converted 5 SBD for ZAPPL. I think is a great project to open STEEM to a wide audience. And the process of moving the SBD from my Steemit wallet to open ledger was so fast.
