The Dream Life
I had the day off work today and because I had my simfile deadlines out of the way and had my pack out and that had all died down a bit, I was able to relax and take the day at a slow pace. I spent some time thinking about a few things and thought to myself 'this is a pretty chill life'.
I'm probably a bit lucky as a person. I have pretty non-chalant, easygoing kind of personality. I don't get stressed easily and I don't become emotionally or mentally unhinged. I don't often get anxious about anything or worry about things that tend to get in the way of daily life.
I work a job that earns decent money, and I do crypto on the side for extra, and all my bills are paid on time. I'm also single, which means all my time is mine to spend and I have no obligations for anyone else.
In other words, I realize that my life is alot like an anime background for a lofi hiphop mix on YouTube:
It really is the dream
One of the dreams I had about life was this image in my head of someone in a neat and tidy apartment with polished timber floors, a small coffee table in front of a tv with some picture books about art and architecture on top. There'd be an open door to the balcony outside and a light breeze would waft through. There'd be a cat curled up on a sofa nearby, just far enough to have her own space but close enough to be within arm's reach.
There would be that same lofi music playing quietly in the background whilst I worked on whatever project I was doing at a given time. There'd be an aroma vaporizer somewhere around, which would fill the air with a subtle scent of citrus, adding a calming and refreshing smell to every breath.
The life I live right now is almost exactly like that. The only thing I'd honestly change is work, but I need to maintain my job for the purpose of financial security, even though I can leave and still support myself without problems through crypto.
I've still got a ways to go yet, but I'm almost at that perfect life. I just need to work a little more to figure out what I need to do and where to go next.
