Persistent Flu season with higher activity than usual.

Flu season surveillance got extended as the season is unusually long this year. Flu activity and hospitalizations are rising again.

As you can see flu activity is higher right now than it usually is at this point. The season typically runs through April, rarely into May.

So far this season the CDC estimates there have been between 6.4-11 million flu illnesses, 65k-130k flu hospitalizations, and 4k-11k flu deaths. These estimates would be a relatively mild season, but this season isn't over yet.
