The longest boxing match ever
If boxing is already a hard and demanding discipline in which a snooping can be a great "headache", imagine an excessively long fight. In 1893 the longest boxing match in history was played in New Orleans .
In this fight they faced Andy Bowen and Jack Burke during 110 assaults. The fight lasted no more than 7 hours and 19 minutes which seems incredible compared to the current duration of the fighting that does not usually arrive on time. They tell the chronicles of the time that Burke broke both wrists and many of the bones of his hands, but did not stop until the referee gave the bout by draw.
The anger of the crowd was understandable, they had spent many hours waiting for the winner, with many stakes in play but finally declared void.
