Photography tips on engagement sessions / Discovery Park Seattle, WA with clientssteemCreated with Sketch.

I had to highlight this engagement session I did here in the Pacific Northwest. This session turned out better than I could have ever imagined it to. After many years of working with clients I did find the best way and that is to CREATE WITH THEM. Don't just set it all up with all of your ideas and directions. What happens is you won't know your clients limits and what they can actually execute. Working with them to find their strengths will help the process 10 folds. Also if they feel more a part of the creation process they will be more invested into the session. They will pull out all the stops to try to achieve their vision. I also have a section in my questionnaire I send out to my clients that allows them to put their pinterest link. As a visual person we can talk all day about what you want to achieve, but if we can see it something will formulate.

So I hope you found the tips a little helpful! Please let me know if you have any questions at anytime.

Thank you for the tips! I'm not a photographer, but I'll keep in mind if someone will photo me:)

Yeah, anytime @inber. Yes, you should always create with them. Unless they have a solid idea, but still you have to be involved and committed for it to translate properly. Thanks for viewing!

Does anyone else have the issue where the first image doesn't show as a thumbnail? I had to host the picture from another site and then embed it.

I've had that issue on one of my posts, not sure what the deal is, but good to hear you found a workaround.

@dexter-k yeah! I had to upload to photobucket and then code the image into the post. Also I think I lost some initial traction because the post didn't have a photo on the thumbnail for the first 8 minutes. What can you do? haha

Oh, my God, this photos are superb! <3 Your clients seem like profesional models acting natural in a environment clear and clean. I loved each one of the photos... And the dress of the girl!

@Vickaboleyn Thanks for that! They were really excited to do this session and never really had pictures together. They've been with each other for a very long time and I'm glad I was able to capture that special thing they have between each other. Her dress is from Free People!

great work bro

@bmu24 thanks for all the help today. Excited to learn more from you man.

Love the soft colors here. Wonderful, calm session!

Woah, absolutely stunning photographs.

These are STUNNING. I love the faded colors and how you captured such beautiful emotion. Do you have a website I could check out to see more of your work with couples? Thank you!

Did i mention that these are beautiful?
