A VISIT TO MY WONDERFUL PROVINCE OF AKLAN!!! Part 2 - Evening Arrival
ON TIME
Exactly 45 minutes after our departure, we arrived at the Kalibo International Airport. Indeed the airport was upgraded and the amenities are way more better than it was back a few years ago. I'm happy that the local government paid attention to the booming travel industry in Aklan and gave the airport a much needed improvement.
Kudos to AirAsia for being on time, punctual to the exact minute. Seems that we even arrived earlier. The crew was warm and friendly, assisting the passengers and tending to our every need.
The receiving area of the Kalibo International Airport, albeit small in size, was dainty and tidy. Very minimalist and gets the job done. For more information and updates, please do check out the Kalibo International Facebook Page.
DINNERTIME
Fast forward for around 30 minutes after my brother and his wife picked us up from the airport. @redchair123 & I has our stomachs growling and mumbling due to hunger. After unpacking our bags on their home, we hurriedly went straight to the dining room to find ourselves in front of a delectable Sinigang na Hipon (Filipino Style Shrimp Stew). Ahhh, it was worth the wait. :)

To top it all off, we brought some lovely pastries from Purple Oven in Makati.
