Light Of Night

They came out as the sun left us yet amazed with most of our thumbs in our mouth.

The old folks would then say "go to sleep child, its night time"

They would sing us songs and tell us stories of Vikings and kingdoms.

Our vacuum minds so keen, would capture the then all inspiring, but as they were being told, the more we gaze with wide eager eyes, the more we were dozing off into our alter reality.

"Who are they that came?" Our old folks asked. Friends, angels for some, monsters and demons at times, gladiators and dragons.

They lived in our sleeps, as long as the light of night.

I was a prince once, many times an astronaut, we governed our own world with our curiosities all in the light of night.

But when the sun rises and the curtains are drawn off our windows, its rays enters through the window or for some the cracks in the wall and touches our eye lids.

And we'll fall into a void and wake up to the reign of the sun

Or for some in a pool of urine.
