THE DIARY GAME: GRANNY'S VISIT// BY @young-ancient:10% PAYOUT TO @STEEMALIVE||

INTRODUCTION

Good day Steemians, I am Edith Inienger, @young-ancient. I'm happy to be a member of this wonderful community #steemalive. Today while at school, I was thinking about one of my memoriable event last year which was my granny's visit. With the thought of it, I decided to share it with my family at #steemalive community.

My grandma's name is Mrs Doom Victoria Azege, she is 70 years old and she resides in Kastina ala Local Government Area of Benue State. She is a mother of six children(4 girls and 2boys) and my mom is her first child. Her last born who is my aunt is living with us here @ makurdi. Her husband ( my mum's Dad and my grandpa) is late.

HER VISIT

My granny normally visit us, her children and grandchildren once a year in makurdi here. Her children are scattered throughghout the country, mostly in Benue and River State. Her last visit to our house was around July, 2021.

We always enjoy her company when she's around. Grandma is always gisting us about the recent developments around her house in the village, always advising each and every one of us.

Sometimes, grandma and I ended sleeping in my room so that gist will continue in the morning and all day long. In all our tete à tete conversations, she is always advising and encouraging me to be a good daughter(to my parents), sister(to my beloved siblings), lady(as I grow) and woman to be(in future).

One thing I find very funny is that, she is alwayss laying emphasis that on the fact that, I'm supposed to get married soon as first daughter in my house but I see myself too young to be thinking about marriage. My major interest now is growth in all aspects of my life( I.e spiritual growth, financial, intellectual/educational growth). That's by the way.

So her last visit was memorable for me because I remember the part where she was to travelled back to the village and my mum officially appointed me to snap family with my mobile phone. It's was a fun exercise for me trying to make everybody smile in the picture and all. At the end we had lovely family pictures just that my Dad is not in the pictures to complete the family. As usual, my old man is (how I normally call my Dad, not in his presence though) not a picture snapping freak.
