DIY Barbie's Dream Closet

In one of @howtoweekly contests I did a how to make a grilled cheese with a Twist and that inspired me to start doing more DIYs, so thanks @howtoweekly. Since I love doing arts/craft projects I figure, Why not do one on my favorite topics. DIY and Life hacks.


I had a little rack that was used for my daughter's play kitchen that was honestly going to get thrown away when I came up with this idea. You can use a shower caddy, a dish drying rack or something of that nature you might happened to have laying around.



For the hangers I used pipe cleaners. they seemed to work quite well and hold the weight of some of the bigger dresses. I folded and twisted it until I got it looking pretty good.(somewhat looks like a hanger at least)

From there, you can use your own Creative Minds to decorate it. Have fun and go all out with this part and you can display it next to a toy box or on a dresser or night stand of some sort in your child's room.

Now, you can use whatever you would like for Barbie's shoes, but I used plastic Easter eggs and they seemed to work well.

I love doing little arts and crafts projects like these. It allows me to spend more quality time with my daughter and also use my imagination and creativity a bit more. I would consider it "Thinking outside the box"!

I found an old metal lip gloss container and used it as a Hat box/accessory storage bin which I'll paint a solid color for the finish. By the way, I am literally building this or adding to it, I should say, while I am making this post. I will post a picture of the final product either by updating the post or in the comments when I've finished fine tuning it.
