This post is my entry to Steemit Philippines Contest of the Week: Easy Writing "Share Your New Year's Day Celebration"

I bet most of the entries on this contest are about preparing for parties and families coming over to celebrate even more BIBO.

But to me and my family, I only celebrated it with food. My sister went some just for two days and returned to her new home in Valencia.

Actually, my mother envied the neighbor where son surprised them by visiting to celebrate New Year's eve. I can just stay silent after my mother said" Maypa sila and more"

So here. Let me share with you all the food preparations we had that day.

Bibingka Espesyal

My Lola is selling Bibingka Espesyal in Cogon Market when she was still alive and strong. She makes tasty bibingka so my sister asked my mother to make some. We actually made some last Christmas but

My niece loves spaghetti so much that why it will never be absent in all occasion.

we really forgot to take pictures with the family, one of the reasons is that my mother is camera shy and only one of my kids was left at home. Aelie and Czak were at my husband's mother waiting for us.

We were all so busy with the food preparations that we forgot other things. It would have been very nice if we had even one picture.

At this time too, I had been feeling the worst headache. I was just forcing myself to help my mom do chores, I just can't give it all to her.

This year's new year celebration was a bit boring but despite all the empty parts in life, I am thankful to the Almighty that we are still alive and was given a chance to live this wonderful moment.
