Better life with steem | The diary game: 25th/11/2021 - Tennis practice and 2 tennis challenge

in Team Uganda2 years ago (edited)

I had some good tennis practice at the usual hotel "Kabira Country Club" for almost the whole. I got so exhausted after having a tight challenge with 2 tennis players.

I left home at around 10am. My wonderful neighbours gave me a ride to their workshop in Ntinda. From there I boarded a taxi 🚕 to Kabira Country club (located in Bukoto). There was some little traffic jam. I regretted why I boarded a taxi. I should have used a "boda-boda" to avoid such boring and time consuming jam 🙁. Any there was nothing to do, I had to just to remain calm until I reached slowly.

The good thing 😊, the taxi kept I was in over took so many vehicles 🚖 🚗 🚗 and I felt abit relived. I at least I did not over delay in that jam. I even got out of the taxi just before I reached my destination.Walking was the best option since I was almost reaching.

I finally reached Kabira Country at around 11am. The first thing was interaction with my tennis buddies. Changed clothes and put on my tennis sports attire. I felt so hungry the whole morning time because I had skipped breakfast. I had to just endure till lunch time. I had a heavy lunch breakfast at around 12:30pm. Came back to the tennis department and had some good practice with some Uganda junior tennis players.

Thanks to Coach Edward for equipping these kids with such a great tennis talent. I was so happy that I could rally with them. They gave me some good practice.

Its mainly my forehand that is rusted. I keep making lots of unforced errors with it. I need to get back the feel of the ball.

I just had a small practice with them for about 30 minutes. Then switched to another tennis court where I played with some other 2 tennis players. We first practiced for some 20 minutes. We then played a winner stay challenge. It was tie break sets. First to 7 points.

Paul and Joel played first as I picked up balls and counted the scores for them. Joel won easily against Paul. I came in next and won against Joel. It was a tight match. I was cheered up by plenty of supporters😁. They kept screaming at me "Let's go Tiger" 🐅 💪 😁

Paul came in next. I played against him. He first led me by 5-2. I made everything level 5-5. I finally won against me on scores 7-5 just because of the few careless mistakes I made in the process. The good thing with Paul, he has some good ball control.

Joel came in next and played with the winner "Paul." Joel won against Paul very easily. I came in next and versed Joel. I won against Joel. It's interesting how I could beat up Joel who was always winning against Paul 😁. Paul came in next and won against me by 7-5. 😁.

Paul finally won against Joel. We were all very exhausted. We had to stop and take a rest. We shall play again some other time. Most importantly we had fun and some good practice. I sweated a lot throughout the whole play time.

We ordered for some drinking water to cool down our body temperature. I left the club at around 4:30pm. I met up with my neighbours at their workshop in Ntinda. They gave me a ride back home. I reached when I am very tired 😪. Had a shower, changed clothes and had super at my neighbours.

Returned to my place at around 11pm and retired to bed 🛌.
