Miles To Memories - A trekking experience for an Impulsive girl !steemCreated with Sketch.

Impulsive I am, I love it!

It is really a fun for an impulsive girl like me to go for an unplanned trip. And the surprising part is that it always turns out to be the best I can get. No ticket booking, no searching, no camp booking, not even prepared for temperature difference and yes was not at all ready to see all the thrill came in my way. Fewwwww!! Thrilling experienced it was.

Bingo!! With no planning in mind, I reached to Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh (India). I was all ready to trek Triund. A different experience all together in which I realized sometimes leaving luxury and enjoying a simple trip in the lap of nature is more fruitful.

A Challenging trek!

Triund is a peaceful and attractive trekking destination. It is settled in the lap of Dhauladhar Range. It has jaw-dropping pictures of the Dhauladhar ranges on one side and the wonderful Kangra valley on the other. And the it is a moderately challenging trek. It is very popular among journey fans of all the ages.

The trek is not very difficult and ofcourse not appropriate for a family considering sharp hike and many deep gaps on the way. A minor fault throughout the hike can be deadly. You can only find two cafes on the way, one is 'Magic view' cafe. One can take a seat, lower down, and enjoy munchies along with spectacular views of the complete valley. Trust me, it’s more than worth a try.

That last one hour of Bumpy ride :)

The last 1-hour way is perhaps the sharpest and the path is full of greasy stones. It is actually a true test of your patience and strength.

Note: Just one sight of the place is a curtain raiser to all your hopes about the place. That very first look of the valley (covered with snow) will soak away all the tiredness and one starts feeling light with every moment spent there.

Snow was an admiration throughout the last few stages. Triund is a huge land carpeted with green grass. One can see the huge Dhauladhar varieties right in front.

Seeing them I was more interested since I was climbing for the second time. It was a bit exhausting but the climate and lovely view inspires you to keep moving. One side is the valley and other side mountain it is a bit dangerous so it’s continuously significant to listen to the practiced guide with you.

Thanks, Crazy People for experiencing the trek with me. It make me go this extra mile to have a different experience all together…

Your experience is really amazing. How I wish I could be like you. I usually climb mountains but only the mountains near my place and all the mountains here are just about 1000 meters high. I think going for an unplanned trip is a little bit dangerous. I remember a man who did like what you did. He trekked alone into the canyon without letting anyone know where he was going. On the way he met an accident and he almost died. As he moved down to the canyon, a big rock rolled down and his right arm got stuck and there was no way for him to escape. He stayed there for several days with no food and water. His loved one were clueless where to find him. On the seventh day, he amputated his arm. First, he cut the skin of his wrist with his small two bladed knife. Next, he used his weight to break the bones in his arm. Gladly, he survive because as he was walking on the desert, a rescue helicopter found him. After that time, he has always inform someone whenever he goes for a trip. I think, going for an unplanned trip is fun.
