Black Tuesday- when my account got hacked! My savior- @Jaki01, @gandalf !

So, this happened yesterday. Here is this guy who was chit-chatting with me and was pleading for upvotes. And somehow, I acted unwise and accidentally inboxed him my private key. As soon as I refreshed my mind, I realized within seconds and updated the chat. But the damage was done and I am so proud of that guy that he instantly copied my key, ofcourse for evil intentions. Had I been at his place, I wouldn’t have done that.

I was at work when this happened and somehow it slipped from my mind by evening. I came back from office and was enthusiastic to post a blog. As soon as I posted and refreshed my page, I noticed one comment not made by me that drew me attention. It took me hardly any second to realize that this guy has done his part. And I was so right, he hacked my account and changed the password. I got scared and immediately tried to change password but since he already changed my current password so I couldn’t do that.

So, I enrolled for ‘Stolen Account Recovery’ form which ask for your account name and recent password you remember. But it says that recovery process takes time and I didn’t get any link on my gmail. I was hyper-sensitive by then.

I tried to talk to people on #help group but hardly got any response. Everybody was suggesting for ‘Stolen Account Recovery’ form only. But with bitterness in my head, I forced that person to return my password. To my surprise, he was offline. He almost killed me and then he himself was offline.

This shows how evil our world can get but to balance it out goodness also exist. I have very good friends here and @jaki01 is one among them. He was always kind-hearted and generous to me since my birth on Steemit. He inspired me so many times and yesterday he was of great help, he gave me his references, did all his math and calculations. He was sitting with me until I got my account back.

@Jaki01 suggested me to talk to @gandalf, I dropped him a text with full specifics. He replied to me in sometime and after getting all the evidence he got me the recovery link on my gmail. And I was able to get my account back.

A big thank you to two good personalities @Jaki01, @gandalf. You saved me and put an end to a dreadful night.

I learnt my lesson and I’m sure I will be extremely alert from next time. And with anger in my head I thought of teaching that guy a lesson. But as the day passed, I am over it now. I realized that I can not be bitch and I am no one to teach him a lesson.
