TAKE YOUR FAMILY ON A MISSION

Text:Joshua 24: 15
Decide this day whom you will serve, as for me and My house we will serve the Lord
The family is the backbone of society. If you go out right now, definitely 90% of the people you will meet came from families that they will also return to at the end of the day. When families are broken, the peeple are broken and ultimately society is broken.
The problem with most of our families today is that we no longer have any values or principles. Everyone is free to do as he or she please whether or not it advances the course of the family or not. Upright and sound family values are supposed to help shave every member of the family who will in turn become better people in the larger society. As you listen to me now, you may be the head of a family or will be the head of a family someday, you may not be the head of your family but you can tap into this wisdom to get your family on the right path again. God intended that our homes will be places where we are well nurtured before we are released into our assignment in life.
This is not so today, but it is never too late to start afresh. If the past generation missed this point, we cannot afford to do the same thing again. It is high time that our children know that in this family, we do not cheat, in our family we do not hate, in our family we are not given to laziness. This knowledge will shape their lives and their values from a tender age, and we would have raised a generation of men and women of integrity.
Your family should stand for something positive and there should be some upright values that your family holds dear. If all these are in place, you will realize that they begin to shape the life of every member for good. If every family in our nation can do as Joshua did, then we will have a better society. You do not necessarily have to be a father or a mother to know and do this, God may have placed you in a position of influence over your family or another family, be sure to use your position well. This is one responsibility that must begin from your knees, because you are not just making rules and regulations rather you are changing the hearts of men and shaping destinies for good.

Like Joshua in the bible, we should build up our family in the way of the Lord and never relent in setting goals and teaching them what will draw them closer to God. It's important we take spiritual things seriously.
Wow,this is awesome,family are the backbone of the society,the better the family the better the society,that's why the family must been given careful consideration,because if the family is corrupt ,it will rub off on the society,family must stand for something positive and make impact not to cause havoc,nice post.
