One of the best diversions that Caracas has is its ride on the cable car. This was inaugurated in 1955 and in 1989 it was closed due to the deterioration of the facilities. In 2001 it was reopened and in 2007 it was taken by the Venezuelan State and started to be administered by the Ministry of Tourism under the name of Waraira Repano.

Caracas is separated from the sea by the Venezuelan Coastal Range. In its first stage, you could go to the beach by the cable car, as there were two routes: Caracas - Ávila - Galipán and a second stage San José de Galipán - Macuto. It means form Caracas to the mountain and from there to the beach.

Macuto, coastal city was for a long time (since the 50s) an extraordinary tourist destination, with walks along the beach with many restaurants and entertainment centers.

My family was always very close and family walks were common. Of course, the cable car was one of our destinations on more than one occasion.

The first photos correspond to 1966 on a family trip, in 1976 I appear in a photo taken at the cable car station in Ávila "killing" my cousin, with whom we always went to the beach by this means.

The last lot corresponds to a family outing (with the family already grown) in 2010.

Uno de las mejores distracciones que tiene Caracas, es su paseo en el teleférico. Este fue inaugurado en 1955 y en 1989 fue cerrado por el deterioro de las instalaciones. En 2001 fue reinaugurado y en 2007 lo tomó en sus manos el Estado Venezolano y pasó a ser administrado por el Ministerio de Turismo bajo el nombre de Waraira Repano.

Caracas está separada del mar por la Cordillera de la Costa. En su primera etapa, se podía ir hasta la playa por el teleférico, pues habían las dos rutas: Caracas - Ávila - Galipán y una segunda etapa San José de Galipán - Macuto. O lo que es lo mismo, desde Caracas hasta la montaña y de allí a la playa.

Macuto, ciudad del litoral, fue durante mucho tiempo (desde los años 50) un destino turístico extraordinario, con paseos a orillas de la playa con muchos restaurantes y centros de diversión.

Mi familia siempre fue muy unida y los paseos familiares eran algo común. Por supuesto, el teleférico fuen uno de nuestros destinos en más de una ocasión.

Las primeras fotos corresponden a 1966 en un viaje familiar, en 1976 aparezco en una foto tomada en la estación del teleférico en el Ávila "asesinando" a mi primo, con quien siempre nos íbamos a la playa por este medio.

El último lote corresponde a un paseo familiar (con la familia ya crecida) en 2010.

Eine der besten Unterhaltungen in Caracas ist die Fahrt mit der Seilbahn. Diese wurde 1955 eingeweiht und 1989 wegen Verschlechterung der Anlagen geschlossen. Im Jahr 2001 wurde es wiedereröffnet und im Jahr 2007 vom venezolanischen Staat übernommen und vom Tourismusministerium unter dem Namen Waraira Repano verwaltet.

Caracas ist durch die venezolanische Küstengebirge vom Meer getrennt. In der ersten Etappe konnte man mit der Seilbahn zum Strand fahren, da es zwei Routen gab: Caracas - Ávila - Galipán und eine zweite Etappe San José de Galipán - Macuto. Es bedeutet von Caracas zum Berg und von dort zum Strand.

Macuto, Küstenstadt, war für lange Zeit (seit den 50er Jahren) ein außergewöhnliches Touristenziel mit Spaziergängen entlang des Strandes mit vielen Restaurants und Unterhaltungszentren.

Meine Familie war immer sehr nah und Familienwanderungen waren üblich. Natürlich war die Seilbahn mehr als einmal eines unserer Ziele.

Die ersten Fotos entsprechen 1966 auf einer Familienreise, 1976 tauche ich auf einem Foto auf, das an der Seilbahnstation in Ávila aufgenommen wurde, wo ich meinen Cousin "tötete", mit dem wir immer auf diese Weise zum Strand fuhren.

Das letzte Los entspricht einem Familienausflug (mit der Familie bereits gewachsen) im Jahr 2010.
