WHY INSULT GOD?
NET Bible
They insulted God, saying, "Is God really able to give us food in the wilderness?
(Psalm 78: 19)
Please note the words "insult" And "really able" In the Bible portion. Insult there depicts degradation. In other words, they looked down on God. Imagine Bill Gates promised a student a pen, after a while, the student returns to ask "are you sure sir, that you are financially buoyant to get me the pen" ?
Though the apostle Paul made us understand that God cannot be mocked but whenever we see God as one who is not caring or unable to provide , we mock him .
They also said "is he really able" Which suggest that they have heard, seen in time past or partially believe that he can but to them, this particular situation looks like he's not able. Why do we size our situations with God? With men, it may be impossible but with God, all things are possible.
The Bible also talks about wilderness. Wilderness to the Israelites was that land which had no physical helpers, no uncles to send the money, no man to help just as we feel today.
A lot of persons have insulted God and have doubted his power simply, because they feel they don't have an helper. hmmm they find it difficult believing God's word that "help comes from above"
Whenever we put our trust in man or our strength, God intentionally makes them fail us for it is vain to trust in man.
Can we redirect our focus for the miracle to come?
Why are we trying to solve a problem only he can solve?
.
The word of God works with patience.
Return to him, focus on him and it will be done. Have you prayed about it as much as you talk about it?
Or is there anything too hard for God to do?
Word!
But dear I'd suggest you put your quote in this form;
To do this (> space and word or sentence , then enter).
Nice piece nonetheless.
Alright, I'll do just that
