Jollof rice is a major delicacy at every event ranging from wedding ceremony, burial , naming, coronation and other activities that requires dishing of foods especially among youths and and people of the younger generation.

Tuesday the 22nd of August is the World Jollof Rice Day . It ’ s a day that is set aside to celebrate this very wonderful cuisine. Jollof rice is a dominant name amongst African dishes . Any country can prepare their own kind of jollof rice using ingredients best known to their environment, but the Nigerian jollof rice is one unique dish that has made anyone who has eaten it want more.

There are multiple regions in Africa who debate over the geographical origins of Jollof rice. However, one of the most vigorous Jollof rice rivalries has been between Nigerians and Ghanaians. The main argument in this debate is currently centered on which country's Jollof rice tastes better. The reason for the debate is due to the huge popularity of Jollof rice, in regards to West African cuisine. Both Nigeria and Ghana have shown consistent competitiveness over the debate as to who can serve the dish the best. The debate has gone so far as to even having organized contest shows, in order for famous critics from all over the world to taste, examine the differences, and give their overall judgments on either forms of the dish. Recently, social media has also become a popular tool for people to share pictures, and opinions over who serves the dish the best.

Hold up, Hold up, am not actually leaking out my special recipe for Jollof Rice, but I absolutely think mixing the Ghana plus Nigerian recipes will give you a wonderful pot😅😅😅😅.

As far as Nigeria and Ghana currency are of different values,their jollof are of different, unique recipes.
