✎ Good motivation and enthusiasm are key to a student's academic success. Motivation is what motivates a student to fulfill his or her assignments. When the main objective of a student is to achieve academic success, he or she will feel strongly motivated to have a positive attitude to achieve their dreams.

There are 2 types of motivation:

• Intrinsic: This type of motivation causes the student personal satisfaction, to achieve the desired objectives.
• Extrinsic: This type of motivation is what motivates the student to do activities because they will receive rewards and prizes.

The right thing to do and the right thing to do is for the student to be driven to achieve his or her goals and objectives by an intrinsic motivation, since there is nothing better than the satisfaction caused by the accomplishments achieved.

Jean Piaget: He thought that the best way to learn is through the intrinsic motivation " the student learns, above all, because he or she is interested in new knowledge ".

Motivation as a positive key to study involves three main aspects:

❶ Have clear objectives and goals to achieve.

❷ Be clear about your ability to achieve your goals.

❸ A positive attitude is important to achieve the desired knowledge or skills.

❢ Staying on TrackSetting a certain amount of time to achieve the goals will keep students motivated to study.

❢ A PRIZE for achievements If the above objectives were achieved it is important to take a short time to rest and recover energy for the next objectives to be achieved. In this time of rest you can do any sport or activity you like.

❢ Recognizing that motivation to achieve academic success is the fundamental key for the student, teaching them to encourage and think positively helps to improve the student's abilities and to perform better in school activities.

❢ Teaching students to always maintain a good, positive attitude is essential to success. The phrases "I can't""I don't know""I won't make it" , should be deleted and replaced with positive phrases like ; _"I can", "I will make it".

The teacher must motivate and stimulate the students to feel love and passion for their studies, awakening in them the curiosity to learn more and more. Motivation is the secret key to a student's academic success.

Importance of motivation in learning:

• A child who is motivated and loves to study actively participates in classes and school activities.

• A motivated child will not need pressure to perform his or her activities, but will do so at his or her own discretion.

• A motivated child is better able to acquire new knowledge.

• A motivated child will be curious to explore the world around him to learn new things.
