Private Beta Launch of Yensesa.com. The first Steem / SBD exchange for the Ghanaian Steem Community.
From the camp of Yensesa, this is another update on what we are working on, where we are with Yensesa.com project and what we will be doing next.
What are we working on
Product
For the past couple of days now, we have been testing and fixing bugs in our code base before we open it up for private beta on 16th April, 2018.
We have different services that takes care of different things in Yensesa so it will be easy to scale as the demand grows. Two of the most obvious ones are;
Deposit service : It checks for exchange deposits sent in by users to @yensesa wallet on steem and then send the equivalent exchange via mobile money to the exchanger.
Refund service : Because of the volatility of the crypto market it is only smart that we do not send money for initiated transactions that are not completed within a certain time. Example is, a user comes to yensesa.com to exchange 20 Steem for fiat. Once the transaction is completed, the user gets a unique memo and instructions to send the 20 Steem to @yensesa within 10 mins. If the user sends the 20 Steem after 10mins a refund will be issue back to the user.
Challenges
We started of with the Steem.js official JavaScript library and it was not working as expected so we had to change to the python lib. From here we wrote custom scripts to get this working the way we wanted it. In no time our CTO @hemangmehta will write a detail post on this.
One other area we will be happy to get help on is for someone to introduce us to @jerrybanfield who handles the Steem project budget. We have submitted a proposal a couple of weeks back but have not had any positive feedback yet. Nothing is really too small, any amount the steem budget can support us with be it 100 , 200, 300 - 500+ steem/sbd is good to help us fund and running a successful beta promotion, to promote both Steem and Yensesa. If you know @jerrybanfield personally, kindly put in a word for us.
Promo
The marketing team have been hard at work, creating the awareness, pushing @yensesa and @steem to the masses in Ghana. Last week they were able run a successful promo and the team will be releasing a post about it shortly.
Our product lead will also be attending the London Cryptocurrency Show which @anarcotech wrote about here, to network and meet fellow Steemians like @stephenkendal, @starkerz , @allasyummyfood and every other person who will be there.

Greetings, yensesa.
I am not so proficient in English, so I have some difficulty understanding a more scientific text, with more technical words. I understood that they are opening an exchange that could negotiate steem, right ??
I think this will be good, because even with the steem coin being a bit famous for being won inside the steemit, it does not have many exchanges that negotiate it. Possibly, this will make both the currency and platform most viewed by the public.
Thank you and good evening!
Thank you for the kind words.
We appreciate your service on this project and response to the last post with willingness to accept smaller amounts of funding first as the project develops!
@budgets sent 100 Steem just now to provide some initial funding to take the next steps for the project!
Thanks @jerrybanfield. This is helpful and it will help us get this up and running soon.
very cool! Wild jerry has appeared!
Yes to get a @jerrybanfield votye is pretty cool, he is very busy these days so to get his support is VERY refreshing! He is supporting Fiat steem exchanges all over the world!
Jerry can FINALLy say he has helped support the creation of a Steem/SBD Fiat Exchange like his detractors claim is never going to happen. Jerry will get a lot of vallue from this project for his public relations ! Jery deserves it , people have been too harsh against him, he is just a helpful Witness, who gives a LOT more of his witness money away than MOST EVERY other witness who simply keeps their Witness money, which is their right but jerry deserves some recognition for what he does with his witnes money! The projects he supports like @yensesa and @paywithsteem and many others are very productive!
I hope @jerybanfield can help me with some productive efficient local and youtube and instagram campaigns for promoting steem. With a small budget I could do a massive sticker campaign getting steem stickers in the hands of steemians in every city on Earth, but I have MUCH cooler projects that need small funding and I can accept delegation to make it happen! I have a project that needs an actual patreon type clone of busy.org to allow people to buy SP and delegate or auto upvote projects!

Great work on this! It’s awesome to see projects like this that help bring STEEM to more people around the world!
As someone who uses the Steem JS library regularly, i’m Interested to know what did not work as you expected.
Thanks for your comment. For a lot more answers to the road blocks we had, kindly connect with our CTO @hemangmehta . He will be the best person to explain this.
