Is this about who made the NBA popular or which two players I would chose first to build a team around? Jordan is the GOAT, but if I'm building a 5 man starting rotation I got to put two Seven Footers on the floor who would be able to dominate in any era. Duncan & Robinson
For a pure center you may be right, although A. Davis & Demarcus were both playing very well together before the achilles. Tim Duncan could play in any era, and I tend to think a dominant big man like D. Robinson would still be impactful.
This is tough, but I'm probably going Tim Duncan & David Robinson. 2 Seven Footers who can move there feet and defend, even in todays era. I think you would have to consider directly how a David Robinson vs Kevin Durant matchup would play out. I get the feeling Robinson could content Durants shot, and there is obviously nothing Durant would be able to do to stop Robinson.
As Far as Tim Duncan Goes, The Best Power Forward to ever play the game. He would matchup with anyone

In modern basketball playing with two big players doesn't work. Only San Antonio still plays with two centers but less end less successfully...
