Do You...

Do you know that I loved you and that I still do?
Could mean nothing now after what I put you though
Do you know that I couldn’t let you go even to save you?
I couldn’t see myself living without the words I love you too.

Do you know that I wanted to cry myself to sleep constantly?
Over the thought that I might one day lose you for eternity.
Do you know that loving you was too hard for me to do?
Living with the fear that I may fall short of pleasing you.

Do you know that I was entirely jealous of only me?
I was trying to remain the person I didn’t know how to be.
Do you know that I’m afraid of looking into your eyes?
Knowing that one-day it could be mine that you despise.

Do you know that I thought you once saw me as dead?
Seeing as the beauty in all things one-day dies in your head.
Do you know that there’s a voice in my head calling your name?
Now it echoes only disappointment as I put the voice to shame.

Do you know that nothing could have torn us apart?
Other than the betrayal I was lead to by my own heart.
Do you know that we would one day end up like this?
Separated but in love and now searching again for bliss.

Do you know that you once broke me down into pieces?
And continued breaking me with everyone of your kisses.
Do you know that I stand in the rain just to feel your love?
While counting every drop that touches me from above.

Do you know that the image of you lives in my sleep?
The dreams at night were all that I was fighting to keep.
Do you know that I will do anything to make this right?
So that I could remain what you dream about at night.

Do you know that I start and finish my everyday,
By blowing a kiss and praying that god sends it your way?
Do you know that all of the things you put me through,
Makes yet another reason why I can’t stop loving you?
