Skills or Talents

It's another week for me to take part in the acceleration contest and this week's topic is interesting “Skills or Talents”. Thank you dear community for coming up with this topic but before I go ahead with my explanation I will love to invite my friends to come and also be part of the contest.

Skill: Skill is basic knowledge accused through intensive learning and implementation of knowledge learned toward executing a task or a duty. A skillful person has an in-depth understanding of what he or she is doing.

In a node shall a skill is the ability or knowledge that comes from training.

Talent: Talent is a gift or a natural endowment given to us by our Creator on this part one doesn't need to go for any training to acquire it because it's a gift given to everyone free of charge from the Creator. Once a person discovers his or her talent it's left for that person to develop it or not but no one can take it always from that person.

Talent is also something we enjoy doing no matter how hard it is, but once the talent is there one will enjoy it with passion.

Well, I can't say because the two are very important and useful as well but for the sake of this contest, I will say I prefer talent because it is a natural endowment given to us free of charge it doesn't require spending time and resources or to learn from another person. But as for skills, one has to pay money and also spent a lot of time learning from another person just to be perfect in that particular skill.

Talent is something we enjoy doing at all times, it comes naturally without any stress.

I do have a talent and I also have a skill, the talent I have is for singing, and I discovered this talent when I was three years old with the help of my mother. I love singing and up to date, I sing.

Believe me when I say it's the best gift God has given to me because whenever I sing I feel refreshed and relieved. Sometimes if I have a burden in my heart the only thing that keeps me going is when I listen to good songs or I sing by myself.

The skill I acquired years ago the skill of baking and cooking, normally I love cooking because it gives me joy but during the covid break I try to develop myself by going for training in one of the best catering schools in my state after which I still went to chef school here in Kwara state just to learn more about the cooking skill, it costs me a lot but I'm not regrating it because it's one of my passion and I love doing it with everything in me.

In conclusion, talent and skill are very important to everyone provided we know what we want. If we can implement the two perfectly then it will be a great help to us. As for talent, so many people have it but discovering it is one of the hard things they find to do, once we discover our talent let's try and work on it for our good, and before one should learn a skill let us try and have a passion for it if not the skill will not benefit us even if we spend a lot of resources acquiring it.
