You shouldn't ride a Motorcycle. Especially in Winter

A Motorcycle is one of the things I hate the most. It's ridiculously dangerous, especially in the winter.

The reasons I hate motorcycles -

I hate motorcycle mainly because it's super hard to control. You can think that you're the best driver in the world and you control it perfectly, and you might have... but nothing prepares you for what can happen. Because a motorcycle is not as big as a car and has only 2 wheels, it's easier to crash. You can do a sudden stop and fly 10 meters forward. You can easily slide from something on the road and it's super easy to break something once it happened.

Most of the teens' motorcycle drivers just love to make a pose. They are lifting a wheel just to show how cool they are. and it's so dangerous! I just never understood why would people do this or even ride a motorcycle when they can use a car. I still can't understand.

a huge percentage of the people I know who ride a motorcycle had 1 or more accidents. which sometimes caused some scratches and sometimes caused them to sprain something.

Winter -

DON'T RIDE A MOTORCYCLE IN THE WINTER. LIKE SERIOUSLY.

People who ride a motorcycle in the winter, who are you and why are you doing this?
The road is full of water, it's so slippery that you need to drive really slow and you will still be in a huge danger.

Something that really pissed me off today was that I saw a father with his daughter who looked like she's 8-9 years old riding together on a motorcycle. She was holding him from the back and the road was so slippery. How can he trust his own daughter to hold him hard enough so she won't fall and why would he take her on a motorcycle and drive fast when it's so slippery??

That's it for now, I don't have anything else to say regarding this.

Please drive safely and don't do stupid shit.

Ok first i wanna say, don't take the things i'm about to say to hard because i didn't think your opinion to be bad - everyone deserves an opinion - and there are facts that you can't ignore.
So i'll start with the fact that motorcycle riding is more dangerouse than driving a car, but you have to remember the bad road conditions in israel, the stupid drivers and the bad methodic driving culture. Also i'm a big safety fan. i never ride without a helmet, carbon plated riding gloves, knees protection and a leather riding jacket with back, shoulder and elbow hardened plates. Safety first!!!
Riding is a culture, it's more than a hobby it's food for the soul, something the father you saw must have shared with his daughter. I would agree that it was a bad choise of a day to do so but nevertheless if you are extremely careful you can have an uniqe experience that most folk won't. I can tell you from first hand experience that in Europe, Canada and the Usa it's a whole different story. Most of the motorcycles which is brought to israel hasn't been designed for our country and/or road conditions, a fact that for itself increaces the accidents amount. So to conclude, i hope you won't be so hursh to judge us motorcycle riders next time we meet, and remember always to check the mirrors to aviod an accident with us riders because like you said we are more vulnerable so car drivers should also be extra careful.

I understand that riding a motorcycle is more than a "tool" to get you anywhere you want but it's passion, most of the people I know who ride a motorcycle says it's a passion and they can't live without it even tho they did some accidents that caused breaking something.
I'm not judging, I just think it's not as safe as cars, especially in winter.

For me its more than a passion, it's the true essence of freedom. And in the matter of safety you shuld know that the statistics rate of accidents is much much higher in accidents invoving pedestrians who cross the road in a crosswalk and get hit by cars than any motorcycle involved accidents.

I agree with you and couldn't have said it better than what you've done.

What're your thoughts on Bicycling during/after raining or snowing? Do you hold them to the same as motorcyclist? I'm wondering because I am finding that people tend to have differing opinions.

It's not as dangerous as a motorcycle, but I still think people shouldn't ride a bicycle during the winter. and if they do, they should do it on the sidewalk and put a helmet on as well.

Some places around where I live have started to install bike lines that ride with the flow of traffic, and it makes me so nervous because it wouldn't take very much for a car to cross over into the bike lane. The roads that do have the bike lanes are not supposed to use the sidewalks because they are for other use.

Yes, motorcycling is more dangerous than driving a car and yes, motorcyclists also build more accidents than car drivers. Most of them, however, are self-inflicted out of overconfidence.

You can still control a motorcycle and drive it safely if you want. At least in such a way that you can't have an accident without the influence of a third party. Even in the rain you can drive with the current tyres on the market like on rails. Personally, I wouldn't drive my kid around in the rain, but that's another subject.

I suppose you haven't ridden a motorcycle yet, because that's one of the most beautiful feelings you can have.

I actually did. My friend drove and I held him. I prefer feeling safer in a car than feeling that feeling again and having more risk. ( Yes, I know that cars are dangerous as well, but not as motorcycles. )

I understand your frustration but not riding a motorcycle is not the solution. Getting a proper gear when you are riding, a better training from a proffessionals like riding academies, being aware of the danger and taking necessary precautions.

You can not give up something because of others wrongs. If everyone riding crazy that doesn't mean you have to ride crazy too. What should be done is riding safe, with proper gear and try to set an example of yourself.

You might say that they don't listen. What you are telling is not to them anyway. If a person can change their mind about riding or not riding a bike with a proper warning, then they can definetly be able to listen for safety riding.

So the question is :"Why baning motorcycle while you can make it safer and a more educated community?"
This way maybe that people who doesn't listen, may get an example and it spreads out through biker to biker.
