When this Sunday, the so-called bitcoin millionaire Mr. Wong Ching Kit dropped millions of dollars of cash from the roof top of a high rise building in Hong Kong, obviously many people rushed to collect those 100 dollar bills.

But why would anybody throw down so much money!

Earlier reports had sated that 24 year old Ching Kit had become a bitcoin millionaire in bitcoin's biggest bull run of December, 2017. And he just threw 12 million dollar down the street as some popularity stunt.

Now reports have emerged that this guy wasn't a bitcoin millionaire but a scammer who operates a ponzi scheme. He guarantees to offer over four fold return on initial investment in his investment scheme. Also the amount he had showered wasn't $12 million as reported but was somewhere around $300,000. However police could collect only $5000 so far.

All this money was not earned in any cryptocurrency business or trading but was fraudulently acquired through his various ponzi schemes.

However, the reason for distributing money in such a manner is still unclear.

It was probably a way to attract attention. The event was live streamed on his Facebook page Epoch Cryptocurency. Its video went viral all over social media. When he was arrested, he live streamed his arrest also. And his act was widely reported in many mainstream media.

So I think he got what he wanted. But I believe, the secret mission of performing this strange act lies in the following fact:

According to Asia Crypto Today, in a video on a Social media website, he was shouting following words while flinging dollar bills in the sky:

"“Today, December 15, is FCC’s big day in announcing the trading race. I hope everyone here will pay attention to this important event ..."

Perhaps, FCC stands for his project File Cash Coin (FCC). So all this money episode was probably to promote his new crypto project

But if mainstream media and social media isn't quoting anything about this project then, in my opinion, this guy miserably failed at his mission.
