Swapped Some STEEM for XR Tokens @ $1.50 per STEEM

You may not heard of STEEM Futures yet but what if I want to sell you some STEEM today for which you can pay me later, say in the next quarter. How much price can you commit to pay me per STEEM?

Well, this could be some hypothetical question. But today I bought some XR Tokens (Extended Reality tokens from @gofindxr) by paying it in STEEM. And what's interestinfg is that they valued the worth of 1 STEEM equivalent to $1.50. Of course, I sent them the STEEM today and they will deliver their token in a week or so. But these tokens are expected to get listed on an Exchange only in the next quarter. So I can't get any funds before that period.

The ICO or Pre-sale price for each XR token is $0.15. But they have a special offer for STEEM community. All Steemians are eligible to buy XR tokens at:
1 STEEM = 10 XR or $1.50 worth of XR tokens.

I just bought 1000 XR tokens by paying 100 STEEM through this transaction

Thus I've already paid for 1000 XR tokens. In fact, I was willing to buy more ...perhaps 10,000 XR but unfortunately, I didn't get that much liquidity. Increasing STEEM prices is one of the reasons for it.

Currently STEEM market price is at $0.40 and increasing every day. So it seems that I'm getting 275% more price than the ongoing market price. But we should also take into account that Steemians are also being offered 30% discount when paying by BTC / ETH / BCH. So effective price for XR becomes only $1.05 instead of $1.50.

But even after factoring in the discount, we'are still getting 162% more than the current market price if we pay by STEEM.

However, I never intend to sell STEEM this low ....yes, $1.50 is too low for me considering the effort I've put in earning these STEEMs. But my thinking is if STEEM prices will rise with BTC bull run, hopefully prices of XR token too will increase in proportion. So, I don't have anything to lose due to market fluctuations.

Therefore, I'm willing to buy some more XR tokens if there is still time for it. I don't know what's the deadline for this deal.

Although there is an option to delegate SP to their account but I don't see any exact detail for what they will offer in return. So I ain't thinking of delegating to them.

But I downloaded their beta Android app and it's beautiful to see VR videos in 360^o. It's also very interesting to see all nearby venues and establishments on Google Map available just on a click.

How interesting it would be to see our Steem feed on the basis of our geo-location! XR is a combination of VR, AR & MR and includes geolocation awareness. They are integrating Steem blockchain into their app.

XR tokens can also be earned in addition to STEEM by using and adding content through their dapp in future. So I don't plan to sell these tokens but will stake them all as soon as I receive them.
