Poem / You Again
You again :|
Memories played back in slow motion
My brain takes the images and replays each emotion
There's one of you
One I'd choose to lose
All my mistakes shown in reverse
The only relief I get is from a rhymed verse
There's one of your hair
The fire burned in your soul
The touch of your hand
My heart impaired
I didn't hold on
I let go and it was all gone
You refused to see me
I didn't try hard enough to break through
You're walls weren't all that heavy
I really regret it all
I miss your smile, your laugh, your call
You were a light for a while
One I needed to fuel like a fire
You made me a better person
Now that your gone my condition's worsened
The direction of south
Is only a reflection of myself
I was the one that didn't fight
I should've forgotten sleep and sat up all night
I should've tried everything I could
To break through and lift up your hood
But now its gone and past
The crater it left's bigger than an atomic blast
It's slowly filling back up
With ruble, refuse and cement from a cement truck
The surface looks good as new
But the compound beneath
Is all broken and creased
The cement is only a sheath

I didnt try hard...your walls aint that heavy. I feel ur despair. Its like grasping thin air but again its also elusive.
