Towards the very end, as our balloon was descending, we were being followed by this security goon for an "exclusive" gated community (that's his truck with the lights flashing up on top). Apparently, they've had balloons land in their precious compound a few times. They frown on that, so now they try to chase them down and discourage them from landing there! Of course our pilot knew all about this, and had no intention of landing in there. But this rent-a-clown followed us as long as he could.

It was actually much darker when we landed than it looks like in these pictures. I've lightened them up a little, so that you can see more than just headlights and tail lights. The last picture (with the flame) shows how dark it really was.

And that's all for my wonderful balloon trip in May 2006! Tomorrow - something different! :-)
