Meanwhile, continuing with our cruise around downtown Los Angeles in July 2005. Here we have more great old buildings, movie theaters and ghost signs in an older (seedier) part of LA.

That Broadway Arcade Building is particularly cool. From Wikipedia:

"The Broadway Arcade in Los Angeles, California, also known as the Spring Street Arcade, refers to three adjoining buildings opened in 1924 on the site of the historic Mercantile Place, which in turn had been constructed on property once used as a schoolhouse, facing both Broadway and Spring Street midway between Fifth and Sixth streets in the Downtown district."
