STEEMCHURCH: Grow
Growing up costs a lot of work, growing up hurts, growing is difficult. When we have to make decisions we do it according to what we have learned, what was taught to us, what others say is good or bad, to the pressures of friends or family and not to feel humiliated or less that they end up doing it. And of course when things do not go well then the fault is everyone else except ours, we even ask him: God, why do not you help me? Why is this happening? Why are not you with me? In the Bible he talks about the importance of growing up, in Luke 2:52 we find: "... And Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature, and in favor with God and men..."
These three aspects were lived by Jesus himself and were very important in his growth:
First: it grew in wisdom, what does the wisdom represent in the world? for the knowledge of man, the logic, the cunning, the will of man. Contrary to what the book of Psalms 111: 10 teaches us spiritually: "... The principle of wisdom is the fear of God; All those who practice his commandments have good understanding..."
Nothing to do with the wisdom of the world that is based on "I can", "I do", "I am". He says the word, Jesus grew in wisdom! In other words, he obeyed, respected and loved God.
Second: it grew in stature, this has to do with the physical aspect, the corporal aspect, we grow in size, we become young and adults, we mature, we do not think the same when we are 15 years old than when we are 6, or when we have 40 already we do not think the same as when we were 20. These two points are called experience, the third aspect?
Grow in grace; how many can you say I am going to grow in grace? I believe that growing in grace is a difficult concept to understand. Why, what is grace? It is an undeserved gift from God for us, it is not something that I can earn, it is not something that I can strive for, it is not something that can be bought. It is something that God gives us, to grow in grace is to grow in the spiritual, grace leads us to have a principle that we are going to know, growth has to hurt us, and its main objective is to form a spiritual character in us.
How is character formed? It is the result of the formation of learning that we have in our childhood, the character does not form when we are adults it begins to form since we are in the womb of our mother until at the age of 6 to 8 years, when there is rejection, when there is acceptance, when there is sadness and joy, in such a way that the first years are the most important in the formation of our character, which depends on the people around us, the environment in which we live, the circumstances or the time in which we have grown up, now the children go much faster and totally different from when we grew up.
God gives us when we are born a temperament and that's why some of us are angry, phlegmatic, melancholic or sanguine, but these temperaments have qualities and defects, we have to work on those temperaments to exalt the qualities, the character will rule in our temperament. If I grew up with rejection, I put a barrier of aggression, I aggress so that they do not hurt me, and that's how we are growing with those character deficiencies because they taught me that way and it turns out sometimes to be bad, sometimes less worse.
The Bible says that I have to be according to the will of God that I have to decrease so that He is exalted, that is why we suffer, because we want to do our will even though we know the word of God and we know it is good and what is bad, we do not ask God what we should do, we do not even remember, we must learn this principle: a man can not be a blessing to others, if he does not have a divine origin.
What does this mean? A divine origin is a new birth, in the bible it says in 1 John 5: 4: "...For everything that is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has defeated the world, our faith..."
When we are born again then we can make decisions that bring our lives and those of our loved ones, peace, joy, joy and prosperity, even if it is not what we want, they are what God wants for us.
It says in 1 John 3: 8-9: "...He who practices sin is of the devil; because the devil sins from the beginning. For this the Son of God appeared, to undo the works of the devil. Everyone who is born of God, does not practice sin, because the seed of God remains in him; and he can not sin, because he is born of God..."
If we are born of God, then why do we sin? Why are we thinking badly about others? Why do we judge who is in authority? We say look at how he acts, and he says he is Christian, he already feels very holy , we know that he gets angry, he screams, and it is good because he is human but he is trying to change and we are not yet, we who have to die to be born again are us.
Everything that is born of God overcomes the world, and why do we sin? I am going to tell you because the Lord said everything, and everything is everything! Then if man is constituted of three parts spirit, soul and body, and the day when all your spirit, all your soul and all your body, are reborn again that day we will not sin, when we are reborn again, in the flesh then we will not suffer anymore and this will only be when we are in the presence of God, there we will no longer have pain, hunger, thirst, cold, heat, anger, anger, or criticism, we will be glorified.
Then as my body has not been glorified it will degenerate, but if we leave aside the body that passes with the soul, it has not been glorified either, but what is in my soul? there are my will, my thoughts, my intellect, my logic, my reasoning.
That is why we sin, because the only thing that is born again is my spirit, that is why we are saved when we know the Lord, but then why do I still sin? Because my flesh and my body contaminates my spirit and then stops the growth of my life, I can not make adequate decisions, I have a renewed spirit but my will interferes with what God says, every time we are going to make a decision and we are in contact with God if he is wrong, God convinces us, and then we decide whether or not to take it, but sometimes we say good to see it come out! It's like telling God I'm going to do my will and not yours, then it's when things go wrong and we say, Lord, why do you punish me? It's because I have not died to my flesh. Dear brothers, we have to grow, God bless you.
I want to grow.
I want to be better.

OSAmen. Thank you for reading me my brother.
Growth is needed in every facet of our lives
This was a good read
Thanks for sharing this with us, Growing in Christ reveals a maturity of a perfectly balanced character in Him. As believers we are the thriving, growing body of Christ that is built up “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).
As young babes in the work of God, Christians must strive hard to grow daily and earnestly, in fact growth is needed for us to develop I'm our faith and become Christlike in our Christian journey just as Paul the apostle preached
Growing means becoming better than we use to,growing can occur in our spiritual and physical life and in our mental state borh i. Wisdom application.growing is what every human being should endevour to paticipate in and moreover, but the most important is to grow in the lord.
When you where born you were just a clean slate , you knew nothing about the earth and what it looks like. As you continue to grow your brain began to mature. Thus is just how you look like when you newly give your life to Christ .
You never knew what christainiy looks like till you start reading the bible.
always grow in the lord
Growing up with the right knowledge about God and keeping to it even as we get older is a very great accomplishment in life and the more we realize our youthful stage is the best time to serve him, the better for us.
We must grow spiritually asich as we do physically.
In fact, spiritual growth is far more important.
Thanks for sharing
Increase in size from childhood to adulthood can be regarded as growth to the canal minded person, but actual growth is the development of every spheres of life that is development in wisdom, faith, loving one another, ability to forgive etc. It's only the house of the Lord that can impact this growth. Am really blessed with this post. God bless you all
