remember songs,
like thoughts our heartbeats could remember.
memories swimming in our red-hot veins.
quote me this,
your voice an angel's making,
your eyes as blue as a vast ocean,
captivated in my fear of drowning.
i'll risk a hurricane
just to have you blow me away,
sweep me off my feet with the world's largest broomstick
and remember songs,
like thoughts our heartbeats can remember.
memories swimming in our age-old veins.
