France & Spain Go Into Full Lockdown Over Coronavirus

in #coronavirus4 years ago

As the Worldwide hysteria continues over COVID-19 fears France and Spain have both now declared a national state of emergency and subsequently have gone into full lockdown. And we say full lockdown we mean FULL LOCKDOWN!

Time.com reports:

France ordered the closing of just about everything the rest of the world loves about it — the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the cafes, restaurants and cinema — and Spain drew up plans Saturday to lock down its 46 million citizens as governments took increasingly desperate measures to put more space between people and contain the coronavirus.

Spain also planned to close all schools, universities, restaurants, bars and hotels nationwide along with nonessential stores, a step some regions have already taken.

The Government of Spain has just issued a statement stating that people could leave their homes to buy food, to go to work if they cannot work remotely, to seek health care, or to assist the elderly and others in need. But anyone who doesn't appear to be fitting this strict critera can be questioned and detained by Police if they feel it necessary.

These draconian measures are set to become the new normal as more and more regions around the World follow suite. Stay well and stay safe, we'll keep you posted!
