When is a cryptocurrency a scam?
Of course we are all hearing stories about certain currencies or exchanges (or what have you) being a scam as there will indeed be scams with cryptos. It's a growing market and there will be people that try and take advantage of those that don't do their research.
Cryptocurrencies are still in the embryonic stages, although, I think Bitcoin is close to coming out of the womb and being born. That birthdate in my mind is Aug 1st, when we all find out the fate of BTC. But since this market is so relatively young, public awareness of it is mixed. If you ask the average person what their thoughts are on Bitcoin, a lot of them may say it's a scam, or they don't trust it, because they hear stories in the media that makes them feel uneasy or even too good to be true. I predict this will change with time.
