Out of the Crater
Mini zip out of our town to a neighboring one. Leaving the crater once more to check out Teluwut, a restaurant my wife's friend adores.
The Upper Iowa River slithers through pastureland at the edge of town.

The hills are so flat they have mirages.
As you can see, this is how quickly it gets flat when you leave there Driftless Area. The glaciers steamrolled everything to the attenuated topological variation you'd actually expect in the Heartland.

A creepy abandoned farm. Looks like the owner must have passed away, no family to take over, and now the property is rented out for people to work the fields.
A little filtering emphasizes the spookiness.
