Let Every Person Be Your Spiritual Leader So You Could Listen to What They Say
I just saw how my dear friend decided not to listen to a good advice because it came from some random person's mouth. Later, a wise man gave my friend the same advice, and he suddenly changed; he truly listened to the same words and acted upon them.
Do we ever listen to the words? Or we only look at those who are talking?
This question is baffling me for ages. I mean, I know the answer as it is obvious - we only listen to the people, but not the words. Sadly, I don't understand why we are so short-sighted. Why cannot we understand that sometimes the stupidest person can say the wisest words, which even Gods would be eager to hear?
Thinking about all this, I came to a conclusion - we must start looking at every single person in the world as if they were our spiritual leaders (whatever it means). First, it would solve a problem of disrespect. Second, we might actually start listening to what people say. And believe me, sometimes they say unforgettably ridiculous, yet genius, ideas.
Of course, never fully trust anyone and never take anyone's words for granted. However, always listen. Just stop for a second a listen. I mean, my friend could have saved so much time if he only listened to that random guy instead of waiting for a wise man to repeat the same stuff.
Guide me spiritual poker God!
Haha, I'll man, I will! Actually, your presence on my blog is a great reminder that I must come back to punish those donks on SPL again!
Interesting. What if I never take myself for granted? What if I am too arrogant to listen to others? What if I hear something wonderful from someone I previously thought quite simple? It's happened and it was a revelation. see the movie "Being There" with Peter Sellars and Shirley McClaine. All explained.
I'll watch the movie and write a review of it! Thanks for the recommendation!
I applaud standing @writingamigo
I totally agree with your comment... we usually give more or less importance to words taking into acount who says them: a mistake. We should make what you recommend.
Good post.
I usually write about travels( follow me if you like it but I am also interested in this type of reflections
Yup, but it is not an easy thing to do!
Thank you for a great post, I like it :)
Once you understand that each person has a different "map" to reality then you also understand that your "map" is just one of them and you cant be sure that you have the right way in your hands. And then Its just a matter of trying to piece together all the positive ideas that you get to hear from other people.
Please check my new post, I think you will like it!
