Hardwood or Carpet: Class over Comfort
Every realty broker from New Jersey to San Francisco will tell you that one thing puts a place over the quality mark more than any other feature: hardood floors. Couples want it. Single people want it. Recently divorced 72 year olds want it. But why do we love it so much? It scratches with the simplest of heavy object related brain lapses. It warps with water damage. You have to sweep it, mop it and wax it. And generally, the color and style of it will date a house into a specific era. Plus it’s cold on your feetsies, on a rainy autumn day. The woven, comfy loops of a good carpet were practically an evolutionary marker that warms the home and the soul. Yes it stains, but so do our hearts. But which one of you doesn’t want to roll around on the floor with an adorable puppy?

Love the hardwood...although, my 2 year old's head bounced off of it over 2 dozen times. He probably would rather carpet.
