Ruins of Old Urgench

As mentioned earlier, the Ruins of Old Urgench is a World Heritage Site as recognized by UNESCO in 2005. It was inscribed as Kunya-Urgench with criteria of ii and iii. There are at least nine attractions in this ancient town and it includes the Gutlug Timur Minaret, the Sultan Tekesh Mausoleum, the Konye-Urgench Museum, the Turabek-Khanum Mausoleum, the Najm-ad-Din al-Kubra Mausoleum, Sultan Ali Mausoleum and Piryar Vali Mausoleum Complex and many more important and historical monuments.
