New Found Glory Biography
New Found Glory is a pop punk band (originally spelled out) from Coral Springs, Florida formed in 1997. Members include Jordan Pundik (Vox), Chad Gilbert & Steven Klein Guitarist), Ian Grushka (bassist) and Cyrus Booloki (Drums) who replaced Joe Marino after releasing their EP debut because Joe Himself has a different musical outlook.
The origins of the band originated in the summer of 1997 when Jordan Pundik met Stephen Klein at Stoneman High School Douglas Marjory and they began to write music together. They then think of a band name and get the name A New Found Glory written on a napkin from the restaurant where they work. Afterwards Jordan and Steve recruited their friend Ian Grushka who previously played for "Inner City Kids". They often spend time training in the garage. Still lacking they invited Joe Marino as drummer and Chad Gilbert, former vocalist Shai Hulud as a guitarist.
Early New Glory career known as pop punk music is fast and energetic. Their music combines pop elements that are influenced by fast, punk rock tempos and are colored by breakdowns that are often encountered in hardcore music. However, when they released their fifth studio album Coming Home they showed some changes, with darker music, grim and honest with tempo are making this album more mature.
Chad Gilbert says that "New Found Glory is a band with music that can be enjoyed or heard not by the loud messages written in the lyrics.We make songs about who we are and what affects us in our life and friendships.Bassist Ian Grushka also states that "All the lyrics are based on real-life experiences. A song can be made from what we've been through together. "They have said that the major influences on their career are pop punk bands like Green Day, blink-182, NOFX and there are also hardcore bands like Hatebreed and Madball.
